Studies show that celebrities are the number one driving factor of the latest trends in plastic surgery.

With celebrities like Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj singing about their butt, and stars like Iggy Azalea and Khloe Kardashian showing off their behinds on their social media pages, it is not surprising that women are starting to want a curvier body and bigger butt. What is more surprising is that patients are turning to plastic surgery rather than trying to head to the gym to achieve the body they want. President Dr. Scott Galsberg of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons stated that television, media, and celebrities like Kim Kardashian and J.Lo are the cause of the huge increase. He says big butts are the new trend.

Many plastic surgeons, such as Dr. Rick Rosen, say that they prefer the new technique of buttocks augmentation known as the Brazilian Butt lift, which involves the removal of fat from one area and the injection of fat in the buttocks. Just like many other plastic surgeons and patients, he says he’s seen great results and minimal complications from this technique. It seems this technique is becoming pretty popular. He noted that women with minimal fat turn to buttock implants to increase the size of their buttocks.
